Traveling to the time of Coronavirus: where can we go on vacation

TeganTaylor ⋅ Blog, Travel ⋅ 0 Comments

Traveling today is almost as complicated as running the New York City Marathon. Thanks to the increasing infections and restrictions that each country has adopted in recent months.

Those who have decided to move in the autumn are still favoring Italy, but for those who just can’t help but travel abroad, which are the countries where you can go without restrictions?

The new decree has taken over the previous one and continues to identify 6 groups of countries with different statuses.

Those in which you travel without limitation are San Marino and Vatican City. But there are also some European Union countries that are open to Italy with specific provisions.

Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Croatia, Denmark, Estonia, Germany, Greece, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Poland, Portugal (does not apply to Madeira), United Kingdom, Slovakia, Slovenia, Sweden, Switzerland and the Principality of Monaco have not restrictions on entry. The other European countries, despite having free movement from Italy, have applied mandatory quarantine or buffer on arrival.

For travelers returning to Italy from Belgium, France, the Netherlands, the Czech Republic, Spain, the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland, they can only return with a negative swab done within 72 hours prior to arrival or do so upon arrival at the airport or in a health facility within 48 hours.

For Romania, travel is allowed for any reason from / to these countries but, upon returning to Italy, there is the obligation of fiduciary isolation and health surveillance, it is necessary to fill in a self-declaration and you can reach your final destination in Italy only by private vehicle.

Australia, Canada, Georgia, Japan, New Zealand, the Republic of Korea, Thailand and Uruguay still have their borders closed to tourism. return to your home, home or residence. Travel for tourism is therefore not permitted.

How to organize a perfect trip to Australia

TeganTaylor ⋅ Blog, Travel ⋅ 0 Comments

Do you dream of a trip to the other side of the world? Maybe you are planning your tour in Australia, but have a thousand questions about how to do it? Here are my tips, collected during my recent trip to the land of kangaroos.

Melbourne : 2 days . I handle jet lag very well, this allowed me to visit the city even with so little available. In my opinion 2 days are enough, but if you want to try the various very modern cafes and restaurants that are in the city, you can also dedicate a few more days to them.

Great Ocean Road : 4 days. The stops were Apollo Bay 2 nights and Port Campell 1 night.

Great Barrier Reef: 7 days . Cairns 2 days (3 would have been better as we could have seen the rainforest as well). Magnetic Island 3 days on this beautiful island full of nature, including snorkeling, yoga, walking and koalas. Airlie Beach 2 days to see Whiteheaven beach.

Sydney : 4 days enough to see the city, but as far as I’m concerned we could have stayed even a week, going to sea and we wouldn’t have been bored.

I used the low cost airline Tiger for the Melbourne – Cairns flight, spending about 100 Euros for 3 hours of flight. The second flight from Proserpine, near Arlie Beach, to Sydney with the low cost airline JetStar always spending around 100 Euros.

To get around the Great Ocean Road we rented the car with Europcar . For 4 days we spent around 300 Euros with full insurance.

Finally we used the bus to move around Queensland and visit the Great Barrier Reef. The Greyhound Australia company took us from Cairns to Townsville 6 hours, and from Townsville to Arlie Beach 4 hours for around 50 Euros each way. Buses are a good solution if you don’t feel like taking your car in a left-hand drive country. In Queensland they are widely used, comfortable and efficient.
